The skills shortage and the resulting demand for skilled employees in the marine industry prompted Georgian College to relocate their Marine Engine Technician program to a new "state-of-the-art" facility at their Midland campus.
This new skilled trades facility will feature state-of-the-art equipment and educational resources.
The program offers engine principles and design as well as significant hands-on training to develop practical and technical skills. Students will also acquire communication, customer service and problem solving skills, and have an awareness of environmental issues and basic business operations.
